When to start carrots and Parsnips

Parsnips should be done around may/june time, but parsnip germination can be poor esp. from older seed.
Carrots the same time, but you could sow some now and pull them as younger roots as they may not develop normal sized roots (esp. the parsnips) buy the usual harvest time

We are still sowing carrot seed but recognise it will be smallish carrots that we pull to eat immediately and not for storing
