replanting xmas tree
I have a 4ft xmas tree in the garden and would like to move it as it's now july is it ok to do this ?
any advice would be grateful thankyou

Not really. You should do it in the winter, say late October on, while the tree is not growing nor transpiring too much, as its an evergreen. take out the whole rootball intact and move to a pre-prepared hole and replant.
