They're lovely together.

The yellow is Alchemilla mollis. Forgot to mention that.

Not to worry Elke. I recognised it as I have some in the garden.

I'm getting much better at plant names since I joined GoY! Just have to remember to use them. Is yours at the same stage of blooming, Toto? Perhaps we are finally catching up.

Yes Elke. Mine is at roughly the same stage as yours. Don't forget to save seeds as they are hard to keep through the winter.

We must have a hardy variety in that case, as ours comes up twice as big. Wait - are you talking about the Alchemilla mollis, or the red campion?

10 Jul, 2009

The red campion.

Ah yes. I collected seeds, and have now planted 3 patches of seedlings into the beds. looking good!

Great. As you will know, once you have Alchemilla mollis it is had to destroy no matter what the winter is like.

Seems that way, Toto, it keeps expanding. But we have lots of room to fill. Thanks for the tip.

Referring to your earlier comment. Having similarly minded people to talk to certainly helps you learn. I have personnaly learnt so much since joining GOY.

@ Toto - the rose campions that I planted from seed indoors and then transplanted out are now in their second year of blooming. It must be a hardy variety, given our winters.
