Lamium purpereum

Sid

By Sid

Lamium purpereum (Lamium purpureum (Henbit))

I also grow L. maculatum and L. galeobdelon. This one is by far the best ground cover, especially for filling gaps between my perennials - it seems to grow up to them, but not over them. Plus it produces pretty purple flowers as well as these striking leaves.

Must look out for this. Sounds useful ground cover and pretty too.

I planted lamium at the same time I planted ajuga reptans...still have the ajuga and it's spreading merrily, but the lamium has disappeared...sigh...such pretty stuff.
