Sea Hibiscus can become a very large tree. It blooms most of the year. The flowers turn from orange-red to yellow. Photo taken Aug. 6, 2013 at Quail Botanical Gardens (San Diego Botanical Gardens).

It's a beautiful, but very a large tree. I think the flowers fade from yellow to red-orange. This tree was about 26 ft (8m) tall. It can spread very wide to more than 50 ft (15m). In the wet tropics this tree grows to more than 80ft (25m) tall. I've seen them that tall on the wet side of the Hawaiian Islands.

I don't think this tree grows well in pots. It has too large a root-system. It's definitely too tropical to grow in your garden, also.
