Dianthus, Sweetness (in recovery)

The surviving plants re-potted, I used a multi-purpose compost again but added in some grit for better drainage after they looked water-logged in their previous pots/trough. I have to say they do look happier.
(Please ignore the piece of Dead Nettle in the middle, it had broken off and was lying on the path so I just stuck it in but it did'nt take).

Thank you both, they do seem to be doing better but there's a fair old difference in size from left to right (not deliberately arranged that way), from very small on the left to in bud on the right, all sown at the same time. Quite a difference in some of the foliage colour too.

What colour will the flowers be ?
Can you tell from the bud ?
Foliage might vary depending on which seedlings had the most drainage before transplanting...

Hi Terra,
They're suppose to be pinks & purples. The bud is a deep purple.
The foliage water/drainage affecting the colour makes sense although I would not have thought of it if you had not mentioned it. I live and learn. Thanks

See who else is growing Dianthus plumarius (Border Pink).
