Little flowers on buxus. (Buxus sempervirens (Common box))

Lower end of the bund, I’d planted a little box I had ‘left over’ from front garden hedging some time ago noted some pretty little ‘flowers’ on it this lunchtime.

Yes!!! They are definitely much improved, Ange. Needed my prescription tweaking a bit! Picked up the new contacts too, but, I’ll wait til I return to work I think, to get back into wearing them.

That’s good news Kate. I wore my contacts yesterday for the first time for months ... definitely helped me to beat my opponent at croquet! Will try them again tomorrow when I play OH 🙂.

Sheila!!! You did make me smile! I’ll keep my fingers crossed that they do the trick again tomorrow!! I haven’t played croquet before, but, I think it looks a very relaxing, gentle game. Or is it? ☺️

Thanks Paul, it seems happy at the bottom of the bund.

Thanks Kate. Croquet can be gentle and relaxing but it can also be quite vicious! At the moment we are just happy to be back on the lawns after many months without seeing each other. It is great fun because the tactics are so interesting 🙂. OH is better than me so I get extra turns to make it a more even challenge, and today we won one game each - so all is harmony 🙂.

Do you play any sport (do you even have time?!).

I’m guessing those croquet mallets can cause an injury or two? I am pleased you are back doing something outdoors that you enjoy. It’s all the things we’ve been missing all this time.. have you both played croquet for a long time or is it something you learned in latter years?
I have to admit, apart from cycling and walking, I only do Zumba. The latter, I haven’t been since lockdown started bat the end of last year. So, I’m so looking forward to getting back!!! I’ve only been going for about 3 years, so for half of last year, I missed it due to the virus...

Thanks Kate. I took up croquet when I could no longer play badminton, and OH took it up when he could no longer play golf. It suits retired people, and we have been playing for over ten years. I also love swimming, but only when the outdoor pools are open ... really looking forward to that! Well done for making the time to fit in Zumba, cycling and walking around your work ...

I think croquet is definitely an elegant sport! One to enjoy at a gentle pace...
I do enjoy my Zumba. I can’t wait for it to restart. Our instructor is also a notate. She works in cardiology, also she became a PCSO pre covid. She’s a zesty, livewire! She always says..we’re here for a wiggle and a giggle!!!!
I really miss it!
My Dad used to play tennis but is now an indoor bowler. He does walk for miles and miles every day, as they live in a small town, next to the countryside...lots of areas to walk around. He likes to cycle too. In fact, when he visits us, the first thing he does after a 5 hour drive is go for a long walk or a little bike ride!

My goodness, what an active Dad ... bet you’re proud of him! I’m afraid I don’t know what a notate is (composer of music?) or what PCSO stands for. But great to have someone lively to make your class fun ... not long now 🙂.

Oh Sheila!!! I’m so sorry I’ve just been chuckling....predictive text!!!! I wondered when you said notate! I thought, oh crikey, what on earth have I written!
I meant nurse!!! Sorry!!!
PCSO is a police community support officer.
OH made me laugh, he said I’ve a whole “Line of Duty” thing going on now!
Don’t know if you watch it, but, they use acronyms for just about everything and no one can understand what on earth they’re on about!!!!
