Gosh - I haven't come across this before - it sounds intriguing, and I am guessing has the potential to look pretty spectacular. I'm away to Google "Cloud Tree" to find out more. Good luck with it.

I bought the Box about 5yrs ago as a bare root, but I only clipped it last autumn. I have another one that I bought reduced and I have now clipped that as well. I shall take some pics over the weekend.

Hi Eggbox it seems I'm getting into the swing of these in the side garden and it's really fun to see the little ones trying to name the animals.
Mister Squirrel has had a clip since the above picture was taken and is now well on his way.Hel.xxx.

Just taking stock of the weight accumulated in just planters alone...you must have a well engineered deck...I love this view as well.....this and the door to the upper deck are my absolute favs. That and the grotto....and then there's....

I'm not a fan of Box, but they provide evergreen structure to the garden. I clip them into ball shapes.
barbara gave this to me summer 2007 so i potted it up into the tall bronze pot mum gave me and it looks fab on the old tree stump in left hand mixed bed.
Planted for all-year interest.
Box provide a good evergreen structure for any garden and can add a touch of formality when you wish to create a classical aspect. They can be used to create formal hedging or clipped into eccentric topiary shapes.
Hedge + one specimen
New small plants that I will be trying to sculpt into shapes.
