Of course, it's not real strawberries. lol!

The ripe fruits look somewhat like strawberries. Although, I've heard they don't taste very good.

I know I know that these are not real strawberries, but I can see the detailed photo on the rght side of this page (Garden center photo of the Strawberry Tree) and it reminds lichi. However, trees usually do not get names just after appearance, so far I was interested, if the fruits are edible and how they taste. Thank you for response.

Yes, the fruit looks a lot like lychee (litchi)...however, it's very different. Lychee trees grow here...and the fruit shell is much harder. Strawberry tree has relatively soft fruit.
