Looking healthy :o)

If you could see a close up you'd notice that the leaves have been damaged by frost. I got cocky this year and didn't bother wrapping them in fleece, so naturally the coldest winter in ages came howling down the valley and shivered their poor little timbers. At least, I hope it is frost damage, and not something more sinister.

I've inspected some of my shrubs today which have slight frost damage, and all seem to be putting on new shoots. Somehow I reckon yours will be okay. In my garden over the cold winter, it was Penstemon which suffered the most and I lost several. :o(

What a shame. Is there no hope of them sprouting from their roots when the weather warms up a bit? I'm trying to raise some blue penstemon from seed this spring, but so far only two of them have sprouted.

I do have a couple of Penstemon cuttings which seem to be sprouting, and Arlene has promised me a Penstemon from her garden. That's very kind, isn't it. I hope your seedlings progress well. :o)
