Bees love this autumn flower
I have 2 types, the common pink one and another paler one with darker leaves.
On March 22nd 2008 planted a number of small cushion like sedums around new conifer bed, a yellow one (Sedum acre aureum?) and a bluish one (sedum spathifolium?)
On March 23rd planted a sedum purpureum on rockery on L side path.
Planted Autumn 2007 from cuttings in spring 2007
Planted Vistabile old pond bed
Also commonly known as Stonecrop
This is an old-fashioned perennial forming blue-green rosettes of succulent foliage throughout summer. Towards mid-summer, flat tightly-packed heads of green buds form, opening later in the year to reveal masses of tiny bright pink flowers. Sedum is highly attractive to butterflies and insects, and several species can be found crowding over the flowers, making an additional attraction in the autumn garden. This plant has been given the prestigious Award of Garden Merit from the RHS.
