Now I know what the yellow swallowttail was munching on...! I asked the question one photo too soon. Another great shot. My pics of butterflies are often blurry, because they are constantly moving their wings.

Yep, some of them are always fluttering and it's very difficult ! Some are more shy than others too and you can't get near them, but I try ;o)

Fantastic butterfly photo's. It's great to see them back now that Spring is here. I think I spotted a fritillary and a brimstone in our garden today, but they were gone before I could get my camera out. I think it is still too chilly for them to stop and rest.

I inherited quite a lot of these! Most of them seem to be lavender coloured, but there is a beautiful white one and some pink ones, too. Just coming into flower - weeks early!

bought from woolies 1st feb 2008

likes full sun to part shade, any well dained soil, flowers july-september height 100cm spread 60cm

feb 2008 - planted in the cottage garden bed in front of the greenhouse, one right in front of the greenhouse next to the bronse grass, the other at the back of the bed inbetween the clematis pixie, and climbing rose.
