The Ivy looks lovely here - I have some hedera colchica on our front wall, just starting to get established. It too is variegated and the leaves look like they have been painted. I must try and post a picture - again, the potential for this plant looks exciting.

I applaud you for leaving the dead trees. This ivy will really help to create a wonderful habitat for many critters. It will also look lovely !

I hope that this spreads along and up the fence as a background.

We planted an Ivy at the base of a concrete wall which supports our terrace in 2005. It is north facing and in shade of the house, and at the foot of an old Wisteria vine.. It is doing a good job and gradually hiding the wall.
