In Xela's garden calendar:
'Prune'

Prune established plants in spring immediately after flowering, removing 25-30cm (10-12in) of the flowered stems. This encourages a second flush of flowers in late-summer and autumn. At the same time remove any frost-damaged stems to the base.

Members' notes...

spritzhenry

To add some bright colour in the winter.

spritzhenry

I just love the scent of its leaves.

spritzhenry

The one with smaller leaves.

Planted Vistabile '02

goringfolly

Essential shrub for the garden. Nice scented shrub with milky white flowers and glossy dark green leaves. I prune mine heavily from time to time and it always regrows.
