Ok after seeing Paul’s Cornus Siberious I had to get one!
So today I had a rare trip to Dobbies garden centre.
I bought that along wiht a couple of ivies..not sure where they are all going to go as yet lol

On the way through the shop to the plants, a little robin was hopping about all over the place, I chased it with my phone to get a pic lol and it kept flying off..managed to get a couple of pics

Suki jsut had to investigate the new plants

All still in pots, I need to think about moving some plats soon and rearranging the garden so they will stay there for now. My Cornus Siberian has no leaves but was assured it will grow nicely..they even tried to get me to take 3! They must be on commision I guess lol..I said I have no room for them! But you never know…..

That wee Robin must have been after all the bird food they have stacked up in Dobbies! I wonder were they doing a offer on the cornus? We have a Dobbies over here, and they do that sort of thing all the time! Paul's right, plant it were the sun can shine through it, it's a great blaze of colour!

I have a red and a yellow Cornus pixi, They do look good in winter but not in summer, there a none plant lol, boring leaves and creamy small flowers, Because i pack so many plants into the border there not seen :) but when everything is dying down for winter, they come into there own, I dont suppose they would be on sale at the min because there at there best, imo...

PS, wait untill the snow comes, the bright red will really show through :))

Love your new cornus pixi. Pleased you weren't persuaded to buy more at the GC. If you want to increase your plants they are quite easy to do by just poking a stem into the ground and then waiting for it to root. (like you would a rose) - little job for next year! Cute little robin too!!

Yeah I do that and save seeds too..and get cuttings form various peolple..lol I'll have so many and not enough room! Need to replan my garden a bit for nezt year:)
