Dad's problem

Every now and then i get the odd mushroom in my lawn, i just dig them out

Me, too. Quite a selection in my front grass ( I can't claim it's a lawn!)

I just sweep them off as well...

His lawn is covered with them and that black thing

Yep, swipe them away unless it's a fungus type of mushroom. Think these are ok, just the damp weather.

No idea Pixi - just keep mowing them out - I get alot of worm casts

I found a couple of mushies today...thanks for putting this on, I know not to worry too much now judging by the comments.

I get them to from time to time I just ignore them and they soon go.

Dobbies suggested not to mow the lawn..but Dad's neighbour did it this morning! oh well

Those black things are strange. I've never seen them before. Could be a type of fungus. Maybe improving the drainage might work ? - you know, like when you see them stabbing a fork into the lawn and filling it with sand - that sort of thing....
I get muchrooms in my fuchsia pots, and once I had them in a cactus pot. I take them out and repot the plant.

Oh ok Mr Hywel! Will get some sand..oh dear that's a job for me this week! and it needs weeding again..acyually.. he has very few weeds as such..its clumps of grass that is forever coming up..no matter how many times I hoe it and remove them! Any ideas?

I think the black ones might be 'Black Trumpet' Pixi as they are black long and thin.
