Hi!
Thought I’d share this lovely garden with you.
My boyfriend maintains this garden for a very rich man lol It is situated near Dalkeith.
I went to take him lunch last week and I ended up helping him trim down a few trees!
Was a lovely day and we had a lot of fun, and enjoyed the beautiful place. I imagined we stayed there lol!

After my Dad retired, he gardened for several people and one was the garden of a house that had been previously owned by Cliff Richard. I wasn't 'into' gardening in those days, but now I wish I'd gone along with him just to be nosy! ;o)

That would have been very interesting, don't suppose there were any photos?

18 Jun, 2011

Ew! Cliff Richard! Still must have been intersting..find out more! lol

18 Jun, 2011

Sorry - no photos, and Dad's in the Big Man's house bopping away with Louis Armstrong, Stephane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt so he'll be too busy to answer my questions! ;o)

Oh dear, :-(
never mind!

Aw Nariz your Dad sounds like he was a cool guy!

18 Jun, 2011

Yes, Pixi, he was. Taught me loads about jazz and how to appreciate music in general. He also tried VERY hard to raise an interest in me for gardening, but I resisted at every turn until he was no longer here, then I 'took up his mantle' and have been gardening my little socks off since! I realise now I took in lots of his teachings without realising it as little things pop into my mind about plants that make me wonder how I knew that. :o)

Sounds like how I was with my Dad. I was always with him when he was in the garden and he sued to maintain a few old ladies' gardens too..loved going there too and getting tea and scones lol. If he was in the shed doing joinery work I was there too etc etc Amazing what you actually pick up without realising it isnt it?
Now he is frail, I do is garden for him amongst other things lol.
Today on Father's Day let us rasie a glass to all good fathers who have taught us so much!
Cheers!

What a beautiful garden to maintain....and how lucky you were to spend time there, Pixi :) It is very well established and is so full of interest...the pond is big!
