This is approx 7 years old & has always been in this pot - last year it actually had nuts on it until the squirrel launched a kamikaze raid & took all 8!!

These Hazels are great and probably a good idea keeping it in a pot. They do get very big don't they?

I've never dared plant it into the garden in case it died - my daughters gave it to me as a birthday pressie so I have to guard it with my life! All I've been doing is picking off anything that starts to grow up from the top, pruning anything growing from lower down & trying to keep it in a vague japanesey shape.
