Would you say that was Cerise? I just love it! Dresses must be pretty!
I'm especially partial to the yellow centre, Nancym! So the best is yet to come NN! we had rain then a very hot day and the petals are looking scorched...alas!

just got some warm temps with heavy rains after a fairly chilly dry spell...everything seems to have sprouted overnight. especially the weeds. LOL.

typically our weather turns on a dime! it's been a very cold spring but the summer has started in very hot...I prefer more moderate temps and nightime showers... can't have your cake and eat it too, right?

Lori:
It sounds like a good idea. You wouldn't want to leave such a beauty behind. : > )

I think we're going to have to hire the ark...my list of "keepers" gets longer by the day...and a mere moving van isn't going to do it! lol......

Lori:
I hope you can take everything you can fit into the ark. lol!
Oh, do I know how that is...when I moved into this house 6 years ago it was like moving a botanical garden. One truck load was for the house items and the second was for the plants...plus several other plant loads with a friends truck. I still left my large Shaueria calycotricha plant (in the ground)...which isn't very available here...which I regret.

I don't have many exotics, D1....but I'm going to miss my Eleagnus augustifolia...(think I'll take cuttings) come to think of it, I should have been doing that earlier this spring, huh? I have two lovely Serbian Spruce and a Colorado Blue that I'll have to leave... a very large, totally unhandleable rose bush...and a Amur Maple which I shall collect keys from...plus! I have the seeds for the Jacaranda! So you see my sense of loss is being transmutated into another garden vision...but I am going to take as much as I have energy to carry! and try to have no regrets.

Lori:
Sometimes when moving, it's an excuse to buy new plants and create new types of garden themes. A garden is usually something that is always changing...mine does anyway.
I wish you the best of luck carrying all the plants possible! It does take a lot of energy, however, it's worth it. : > )

Thanks D1! Having the energy to stick to task is going to be my most difficult challenge! Like yours, my garden changes year to year..and that is the most interesting part of it.... the part that I didn't influence directly!...it's like getting a present that continually unwraps itself! I have lots of things that I will try to do differently in my new space...a friend is suggesting raised beds...I'm not getting any younger and that might be an excellent suggestion...will have to wait to see how that develops too! Thanks for the encouraging words!
