I have to laugh when you ask this because when this was just a new plant I fussed over it, read up on exactly how to plant it, cut it back etc. The plant didn't survive. Meanwhile, my daughter who was about 6 at the time, took one of the clippings, had shoved it in the soil, and we totally ignored it until one day after mine was long gone I noticed that hers had indeed survived. When it developed enough I moved it to its present location where it gets afternoon sun and shaded roots. I have had it for about 11 years now but it has only taken off this past 3 summers. I have not trimmed it at all as I am wanting it to frame the garage window .Am not sure if that helps it's growth. So much for TLC!

Lovely clematis, you couldn't have picked a better color to go with the siding on your house. It really makes the flower color pop.

This is beautiful. I'm jealous, I must say! I have a few different varities of clematis and none of them look this spectacular.
