We’ve had a glorious day too Shirley. The sense of relief at seeing daffodils in the sunshine is amazing! But the river is vey flooded at Salisbury and almost on to Southampton road. So I hope we have a dry spell now! It seems funny to be speaking as a fellow Southerner but I am loving it!

Karen, the flooding in the fields around here is dreadful. I don't think I have ever seen it so bad, yet the retail parks and the new housing estates continue to be built ... madness!

Yes, they are about to build 900 homes on a floodplain that is currently standing under water here too. Would be easy enough to solve by building them on stilts…but they never do, do they? Mental!
