My purple firesike plant is flowering more than a month late this year. Typically, it starts flowering in February. Photo taken April 30, 2023.

This is the first year in 18 years this plant has been there that’s it’s bloomed this late. But, it’s been an unusually cool year so far. It’s been the coolest San Diego winter since (From: January - March) 1971.

My Wigandia doesn't have a single bloom on it and its a April-May bloomer going on my older photos of it.
I like that Odontonema in purple. Royal.

It’s an easy plant to grow, also. It should grow very well up there.

Very attractive plant, looks a strong magenta colour from here.
Another late bloomer. But well worth the wait.
