It was early April before this shrub flowered last year!

Me too Linda, plants fooled into early growth, then wham, frosts after a clear night following a blue skied day.

We have just sent for this, is it fairly fast growing Andrew?

Linda - we had a very mild day on Sunday, but -3C last night. Bulbs don't know whether to grow or not.
DD - yes it is. To keep it to a reasonable size, I find I need to prune it as it finishes flowering or it gets out of hand in three or four years. I'll post a picture of the full shrub in a day or two - just snapped it earlier as I came indoors with the temperature dropping and the evening light on it.

It is incredibly cold here so everything is on hold. I get worried my plants will suffer if they are to advanced. How is your weather Andrew?
