Its too far away for me to hear them Chris ,I can see what you mean kat with the fighting ! Home bird Ha ha :o) Waddy there's always been 'war games ' going on over these chimney pots ever since I can remember ....

We had to put a cowl on ours.....plenty of trees, they are very terratorial, the ash trees and the garden is theirs!

Pam we were in the habit of putting a wooden screen in front of our fireplace in the summer months this was before we had a wood burner installed , for about 3 days my OH said he could hear noises coming from the fireplace in the end he took out the fitted screen and out flew a pigeon what a mess soot everywhere and us trying to chase out out of the window it was lucky it survived that long ,we very quickly had a cowl fitted after that !!

We had a starling bashing about in the log burner one summer....tried to open thd door carefully but it stilldid circuits and bumps around the lounge , managed to open the conservatory doors and thankfully it escaped!

We do love our logburner, I guess you do too.....

Yes we do love our logburner Pam ,I would hate to be without it, it warms the whole place it's lovely to watch anybody who hasn't a 'real' fire heading straight for it , our daughter has a modern house with a 'pretend ' fire when the grandchildren come over they sit on the hearth in front of it ... its lovely :o) having said that it keeps hubby busy with his chainsaw Lol ...
