Daylily - 'Blazing Saddles'

Lovely as it is.

I have been trying to decide what direction I want to take my TET program: patterns, doubles, or applique throats. Maybe I can combine patterns and doubles, so I have been making some exploratory tries.

Stunning!!! I see it has a few teeth too, now is there a double with teeth?
I saw a lovely seedling of Margo Reeds today on a daylily spider chat site, a cross of 'Planet Max' x 'Skinwalker' lovely soft lilac and pink combo but with an applique throat!!, really must get round to ordering Skinwalker :-)

There are doubles with teeth, but I cann't remember their names.
I was looking at trimmerdaylily.com and last year's introductions. There are 2 (Calico Blue Baby and Star Bright) that are fantastic. He used Apple Swirl and a small blue eyed one to get them. You might want to try Carpathian Cavalier x Apple Swirls. Along these lines, I put into a bag today, 34 seeds of Buster Ruster X Moose Man; and it looks like Crystal Blue Persuasion x Apple Swirl has taken.

Another cracker , wish I had more space I suppose I could plant up where I keep the bees ????

While bees will visit daylilies, they don't do it unless there is little else available.

OMG just checked those out Wylie amazing!!! see 'Ledgewood's Calico Blues' was used, what a shame the seasons over I'd never have dreamed of crossing those two!!!

My season still hasn't ended. Julie Newmar is going strong, I found another seedling of the (Blue Eyed Bandit x Life is a Highway) group has put up a scape, I made 6 crosses, and harvested 2 pods. The pod I am most interested in is (Dakar x Open My Eyes)[one of my almost black with a darker eye] X Life is a Highway [5 seeds].

I wasn't thinking about the bees they have more than enough, I was thinking about me and a seedling bed lol
