Does anyone have any tips/advice when photographing a subject that has a very bright background. This happens to me frequently. There's not enough light on the subject, because the background is sucking it all up.

Hi Tastey, When it's as close as it is in this picture you could try forcing the flash go off. There's normally a button to turn the flash on regardless of the settings your camera chooses. Try it out and see what the results look like :o)
