dionysia aretioides

dionysia aretioides (Saxifraga grandiflora)

I think this is the most difficult plant to cultivate I've ever had......
It started rotting in the coldframe soon after I purchased and need a lot of sunshine and plenty of ventilation....it just manages to flower now. I'll need to sort out the vent problem in the coldframe, first.....

(can't find its botanical name, so I chose saxifrage instead)

It's Primulaceae and you have one of the easiest to grow from cuttings, you could afford to nip one of the outer ones off and try it.
They won't regrow from the middle but if you carefully remove the dead centre and lift the outer rosette by putting small stones under them as it make new growth around the outer perimeter it should force the centre together. It's worth a try.

@B
I'm too chicken to do that!

@Pcw
My problem was lacking of ventilation in the coldframe - so I bought a cheap desktop fan to sort this problem. Stay tuned!

@Mary
Thanks! But I'll need more studying about this plant!

Down to you but it is straightforward. Old English saying(nothing ventured nothing gained)
As for the fan take care using electric outside at the very minimum use a power braker at source. we don't want you lighting up bright blue.

What else?

See who else is growing Saxifraga grandiflora.

See who else has plants in genus Saxifraga.
