Pool iced over January 2013

Can't believe that we'd had so much snow this time last year! But we did!! Had a really bad afternoon here on Wednesday. I drove home from Ashford - the road conditions were terrible and there were some deep flooded sections - it was absolutely awful... A 20 to 30 minute journey took me one hour thirty minutes! I actually said to myself "I think I prefer the snow"!!!!

I ve known it snow in June ruined all the potatoe crops too at the allotments.

It snowed in June in 1976 in Lincs. the year of the long hot heat wave and all the hosepipe bans.

I can't believe we are so far north and have hardly seen any trouble this winter...so far...famous last words!

Even in the soft South we have had snow in June..everything is budding up so well at the moment, if we have any winter now it will be such a shame...and a big set back.
