Another grab on that quick trip for annuals (I didn't make it out so easy). $20 mock orange, in wonderful shape and deliciously fragrant. Now that I moved high on this hill, it is likely to survive while it would not have done well at the old house. The smell diminished my sadness that I was leaving lilacs for later this or next year.

OOoop, did you clean it up then?! It seems to shoot thin stem all over the place, I would not be familiar with it out of bloom and less without leaves, if that is any consolation. :)
I love it, and every moment of that smell is divine. I realized its similarity to dogwood today, all my little native dogwood is just coming into bloom reminding me.

Summer spring all together. It was still below freezing in the day 30 days ago! What a strange year. But I love the new space, the new garden. I offered already to buy it fromthe landlord and they are in! :-)

Yes, so exciting. Thus my choice to purchase mainly trees and shrubs so I can watch them grow.
