Cold, I just dont believe you......it sure looks hot to me lol

I think the day I took this photo it was 70ºF (21ºC). However, I had the coldest morning low recorded in 7 years last week....that morning low temp was 40ºF (4.5º) for a very short time (for about 1/2 an hour).

Some far inland canyons and valleys (in San Diego County) dropped to freezing!

Cold everywhere in US except for the south tip of Florida.I am glad to be here in Mexico, 26C today but down to 10C at night.

We've been the second warmest after south Florida. The temps are a far cry from the very warm temps we had last January. Last January the temps were from 80 - 85ºF (27 - 29ºC) for much of the month (which is not too unusual; however, above normal).

The normal high for this time of year for inland San Diego (where I live) is about 70ºF (21ºC) during the day about 50ºF (10ºC) for the morning low.

Yes, January is the coldest month as far as average. The rainy season is from Nov - March. However, we don't get much rain, most years. Although, with this being said: the Santa Ana Wind Season overlaps winter. The Santa Ana's (which we call them) bring extremely hot, dry winds. We can commonly have temps to 90ºF(32ºC) and have had temps almost to 100ºF (38ºC) from Nov - April from the Santa Ana Winds in some years.

It's very difficult to explain the hot, dry Santa Winds to people who don't live here. However, you can look it up on the internet. :>) The Santa Ana Winds can be very dangerous because they can cause disastrous firestorms.

The Santa Winds can start as early as the beginning of Sept or as late as mid to late May.
