I did think they would have been darker but they flowered very quickly so I am not complaining.

I have variable results with lupins, depending on whether a voracious slug finds the lupin before I find the slug. I do love them, but they really don't do terribly well in my garden, taking a long time to establish properly. I keep on trying, though!

These grew as quickly as it said on the packet i.e. flowered in the first year. Usually perennial plants need to be well established before they start flowering.

They certainly did better than my poor specimens!

Maybe yours will be better next year Gee. I did not collect seed from them because they fell about battered by wind and rain and I was glad to tidy them up in October. I really must put supports in place for next year.
