An Autumn day 039

I had one of these but it died I don't know why , I should get another one they make a lovely bright spot in the autumn .....

Amy this made about 3ft of growth in the first year and flowered well in the second,this is year three.
Will collect you seed if you want it.
There are named forms of it but cannot see much difference in them.

I will have ago at growing one if you do collect some seed ,thanks Brian thats kind of you :o)

Ah looks fab, all my Bill McKenzie seeds came up, loads of plants...BUT.. I had a few Tanguticas as well so I thought they are a bit more exclusive

B.K is Tangutica but a named form ,is that right.
I saw B.K in a garden Centre the other day and could not see much difference.
If it is grown from seed it will be variable anyway, I would have thought it needs vegetative propagation to stay true.
Perhaps some input from Kasy is called for.she is the one thats passed the exams.lol

I notice a difference in the leaves B, the BillyMacs are quite rounded whereas my Tanguticas have a slightly jagged leaf. I'll bung one of my T's on my trellis next year an see what gives : )

May well be right with leaves I was concentrating on the flowers

Brian the one you gave me is blooming away, I am so pleased as it is still in its pot.
