oh, lovely! a lot of that looks to be outside the balcony rail: do you have to go round the block to look after them or can you lean over?

Goodness me, how impressive.

Thanks, Fran & Valadel! :-))

Except for the pots in rings on the top of the railings everything else is inside the balcony but they grow through the chicken wire I covered the balcony with 10 years ago when we first moved in. That also holds up the plants growing in pots & planters on the bar that runs the length of the balcony railings, without it I couldn't have the plants running down the middle.

The hanging baskets make up the fourth layer of plants on the balcony.

*s* if I zoom right in I can see the chicken wire on the outside of the ground troughs. they still look as if they're outside the balcony area, though!

How can you zoom in on this photo? Knowing where to look & what to look for you can certainty see the chicken wire, especially just above the name of the month, August & the year.

I'm visuallyl impaired and have a short viewing range; I often need to zoon in to see detail. Aan easy way to zoom in to a picture is to hold down the CTRL button and roll the scroll wheel on the mouse; back and forth, zoons in and out

Thanks for that tip! I tried it & it works a treat! :-))

no probs. I started an PC etc blog for general PC chat an Qs and As after we'd inadvertently diverted someone else's thread talking about how to zoom and other stuff.

You can't see in but you can see out. Obviously not nearly as well as without them! They don't stop much light from coming in as we have a South-westerly orientation which means we get plenty of light!
