Thanks for the warning - I've never heard this before. I've had my plants for five years now without any problems so far - perhaps the nearby heucheras in pots are keeping the vine weevils at bay (they like these too - grrrr)

Just in case you are not aware these are loved by vine weevil and warrant a check or a watering with Provado
I no longer grow them although i love the flower,I swear the weevil can find them at ten miles off
