Ohhh Sticki, I knew nothing about the story "Rip van Winkle," so I had to go to the Wikipedia. It says he slept for 20 years :-) There is a similar Japanese folklore called "Urashima Taro" in which a fisherman experiences 300-year time trip :o)

oh sorry ~ its one of those things ~ i tend to think if i know about it everyone will!! didnt know the japanese story tho
