The leaves on this guava tend to be very red or burgundy...the fruit also ripens red. Photo taken in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. on Dec. 2, 2010.

Yes, the weather is nice now...about 73F/23C or so during the day.
This is a very sweet variety with no so many seeds. It's also a very fragrant fruit. I have some guava trees in my yard and use the fruit as an air freshener in the house.

Guava trees are very widely grown here. I think almost everyone has at least one or more in their yard here.
