Val, for 3 years this one has done the same as yours !
I 'did' feed it in early spring so don't know if that's done it or .... whether the cold winter pushed it into action.
Interestingly, another member said theirs had been exactly the same - dormant for years and this year flowered !

Well that is a strange thing, I had mine planted near the pond then someone said it prefered dry conditions so I moved it, but its still sulking.
Consolation is , its not died ! :o)))

Thanks Gunner :-)
Val, this one is in an extremely dry area - they do need rapid drainage but you often find that plants do things that they're supposedly not meant to !

Thanks louise, I'll keep hoping. :o)

I 'do' like Lewisias - I haven't got any, but I wonder if they'd grow in my drystone wall? What do you think?

Definately worth a try :-)
This is on the top of mine.

Haven't they got to have sun all day, though?

Hmmm, really don't know, i just know free draining is top of the list.

I'll take a look and see if I can find a small one to try.
