We've all seen Heliconias in the garden centres! This one is a little different - the blooms were between 10 & 20 feet up!!
Once again, Oxfords Botanic Gardens.

Thanks. It was awkward as it was a fair way up & I only took the standard 18/55mm lense. The lowest bloom was in the line of sight to the sun & I just couldn't dial out the flare.

The Strelitzia Nicolai helped by providing a canopy around this particular bloom.

Nice shot! Yes, some Heliconia species grow very tall. I have 4 species in my front yard. They need tons of fertilizer to bloom well.
