Downy woodpecker - male

Ah, this answers my question on another photo ... he IS a Woodpecker !

Thanks! I love the birds in the garden! Suet feeders and one holding unshelled peanuts are what brings the woodpeckers around here, Gt, although these little downy ones will also drink neatar if the have a spot to perch on the feeder, lol!

I haven;t hung my suet for a while. Need to get that out there again. I have a woodpecker come and check around each year. The downy I've only seen in the deeper wood.
