A tall almost 30 foot / 10 meter tall Foxy Lady Palm a few block from my house in San Diego, CA. Photo taken Dec. 16, 2009.

LOL! Well, Wodyetia bifurcata -- common name is Fox Tail Palm...not sure where the lady part came from... : > )

That's okay! I have good memories of driving through the Haight Ashbury District in San Francisco in the late sixties and early 70's with my parents...this was flower child central. I absolutely, loved the feeling, even into the early 80's it had the same feel...Now, unfortunately, it has gentrified so much it doesn't have the same sixties ambience anymore. So sad!

ah well ...."the Wheel turns as the wheel wills...." It was a time and a place that few of us got to be a part of...but it was a magical optimistic time! As JPG&R said "All you need is Love..." and we believed them!
