Utah Sunset Across the Lava Flows

Utah Sunset Across the Lava Flows

From Greensis' back garden. The flats are long black flows of lava rock formed long ago, many have hollow tunnels filled with bats. This is where generations of family have lived.

Thanks Janey and TOG. I'm not sure of the bat type, we always explore in the heat of the day because the caves are so cool. I haven't seen them other than travelling through the backyard now and then, a fleeting glimpse under the streetlamp. The info I can find is pretty unclear as this area is not surveyed for bat species and the county of little mention in random surveys.
