Thanks everyone. I made the sign a couple of years back, it was hung on a tree, but I had to cut some branches off, so I put it in the shed and then thought about it this afternoon and glued it on the top of the door, it just matches the hutch now LOL. I have my eye on another little Guinea Pig female, there is plenty of space for her now.

It is a nice Hotel for them now, more room to stretch their legs. My Guinea Pig is an old girl now, the last of 4 I had. I couldn't resist making the sign, I used to work at a place called 'The Firs' and thought that making a sign with 'u' instead of 'i' would be appropriate!!.

Very clever.how old is your guinea pig? We have a 12 year old rescue rabbit.She is a bit wobbly but can still shift along the lawn when its time to go into her hutch !

Silky is 6 years old. Bun-Bun is only just over 12 months. A little Netherland Dwarf and I can't do a thing with him. He fights and boxes me, stamps his feet and goes mad if I try to pick him up, fights and scratches. I have tried everything, I have had many Rabbits over the years, but never one I couldn't handle, I am at a loss with him. Your Rabbit is a really good age isn't she, I have never got past 8 years with any of mine :o(

Pamazon...try not handling your Netherland Dwarf. Our rescue rabbit had been set on fire by some youths and for about 6 months would not allow us to touch her.By degrees we moved from gentle stroking even though she tensed up,to eventually allowing us to pick her up.Even now after all these years she is not keen on being picked up so we keep it to the minimum. Hope this helps.

I do now, there is no point in forcing him to do things he doesn;t want to. He actually sort of makes a scared squeak when I try to get him. I have to now and then to brush all the loose hair out of him as he is in a mess with moulting at the moment. Your poor Rabbit, what a wicked thing to do. Living this long only makes it more amazing after what she went through, good owners make all the difference. I try and stroke him and he will only let me if if can't escape and then he boxes and stamps, I am letting him be. He obviously hates being touched and as long as he is happy, then that is all that matters. Thanks for the advice.
