About me

I live in a cottage in Cornwall nr. the Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. My garden is a cottage wildlife garden, but I do like to grow rare & unusual plants. Not really into veg. I love Hellebores, Snowdrops, Sasanqua Camellias and the little autumn Cyclamen. I'm not into bedding plants much, may plant a few hanging baskets to hang down the driveway. Mostly I grow herbacious perenials, and then I "cheat" and grow lillies,glady's and other summer bulbs in pots, and when I have a gap in any borders either stand the pot of whatever there or dig it in. I also have a small collection of Dierama's, (Angels Fishing Rods) some of the shorter varieties.
I also run a small B & B & meet lots of lovely people from
all over the world. Mostly they come to visit the Eden Project or Heligan. Here in Cornwall we also have other marvellous gardens, one being Pine Lodge Garden.
I love photgraphy, mostly flowers, not that I'm an expert. Also reading, mostly in the winter.
I am a retired florist. Run my own business for fourteen years, but went into floristry when I was fifteen. I have three lovely grandsons, age 6. 3. and 1.
