About me

I live in the centre of France and am gradually creating gardens from our very rough, former farm land of 7 acres. The earth here is heavy clay with lots of granite rocks in it. Plants have to withstand the temperature extremes which can be -15 in winter and 34 or more in summer.
We keep sheep,pigs,goats and chickens so have free fertilizer!
The chickens can be a problem as they are free range, so tend to sit on plants and scatter seeds/seedlings.
