Look at what my wife brought home for me to play with:
It’s a very tiny Orchid that is blooming like crazy!
I have never tried to grow one of these little guys and this will be too cool!
She is growing a larger one that looks great and this one was a dwarf version growing in a mere 2 inch pot.
I have never grown an Orchid, but I have read that they grow in an unusual “moss mixture media” and not in actual “soil”. This has me scratching my head because I have never seen a plant that does not thrive in a rich biologically active soil.
I guess the we’ll see what happens! Of course, I’ll be feeding it with my rich compost tea plant food from time to time to see how it reacts to an organic treatment.

It looks healthy,n2,and they are easier to look after than they look.Spritzhenry wrote a great blog about Orchids,if you want to check it out...Think it is titled Awkward Orchids. but I'm sure someone will confirm or put you on the right track,if it helps at all....

Thanks for the info Bloomer! I have done quite a bit of research on Orchids and found out that they need very little water and are quite hearty when grown indoors in a constant temperature environment with a lot of indirect sunlight.
The window in my office where it sits should be perfect and we'll see what happens!
