Smokey boy having fun!

8 comments

Our little newly adopted gray cat, “Smokey” has discovered a way to watch us cooking in the kitchen. This is new! He has discovered how to hop up to the counters, then hop on the fridge, then on to the cabinet tops where he can watch everything from above:

What a funny little boy! He found a new place in the house that he just loves!

Of course anytime that “head rubs” are in order, he leans way over to accept the attention!

What a cool little guy! That’s ’ma boy!

Our cat does this too ! Worktop to fridge top to top of cupboard .. she then has a great view to garden birds .. shame there's a closed window between her and the birds. lol : o )

A lovely blog, N2O. I love that little boy of yours. What a star.

Yes, Louise1, Smokey does miss little "Bear" as much as we do.. He lost his brother and fellow playmate and tries to play with our older cat "Trouble", but Trouble is about 6 years old and no longer has that "kitten streak" that young cats have. Trouble still "tolerates" Smokey's antics and doesn't seem to mind all that much.
I feel so sorry for little Smokey, because he and Bear used to frolic and play all day long.. :-((((

Louise1, Smokey looks like he has adjusted to the loss of his "blood brother", and is playing and getting into things just like he used to do. He is starting to attach to me because I give him a lot more attention than I used to, and he is now greeting me at the front door when I come home from work because he knows that "Daddy" will give him "head and tail rubs". That's 'ma boy! {chuckle}
:-)))))))))))))))

Ah, i'm glad he's becoming more attached N2, i hate to think of lonely or sad pets.
I read a book on animal behaviour and lonliness, anxiety and depression are actually all too common in our pets.

Smokey is Gorgeous, he looks so much like a butch version of my Suna; every Blue i've been owned by, has had the nicest temprament. To all the Felophiles; you must read 'Dewey The Library Cat' and don't forget the Kleenex! Kiki x.
