Update on the little mouse!

I whipped together a crude “shelter” for our little visitor out of a UPS box and placed it near the plant that the mouse was hiding behind:

He had moved into the opening of the box and appeared to be sleeping near the opening..

Hope he does OK…

Sad news.... :-(
When I went out to the porch this morning to check on the little mouse, he was still in the box that I had made for him but had passed on sometime last night. :-((((

He was buried at the edge of my yard and I planted a Pansy as a tombstone a few inches from his final resting place. {eyes watering}

I know, it was just a mouse, but a little kindness to God's creatures can go a long way sometimes...
Food for thought..

you tried, that was enough. I have done this sort of thing so many times with just about every kind of animal/bird/reptile/insect that was brought to me & so many dont make it, but you try if there is reasonable hope. Nature is harsh, survival of the fittest an all that as we well know but thank goodness for the folk who will at least give up some of their time & try.
