*Back to the greenhouse*

_I will be going back down to the greenhouse this afternoon to continue with measuring the buds on my Begonia plants. Any buds over 2 and a quarter inches need to be taken off, larger buds on slower varieties such as Buttermilk and Roy Hartley. This year i started the plants a bit earlier, and am going to leave the buds on larger than last year because a lot of plants were not fully out for last years show. Hopefully this year they will be! Also tieing the plants to the cane i put in the pot when they went into the final pots. Adjusting the leaves to try and lift the buds above the leaves as much as possible. Taking off side shoots not facing front. As i sort through the plants i need to put the plants outside, in the shade, that won’t make the show – plants with no side shoots, or none facing front. As they are for the show i need plants with side shoots, therefore the blooms facing front to make a good show plant._
