Hi folks!

I've joined this site because I'm meeting a new challenge and need help and moral support or practical tips / advice. I bought a bungalow last year with a corner plot - so the garden seems huge to me, having moved from a modern house. I've got a front garden about 20' x 16' which is grass and shrub borders; also a small triangle at the side with heathers, polyanthus around a monkey tree.

The back garden is approx 50' x 40' but with another piece at the side (on corner) about 30' x 15'. I haven't measured and as I'm a woman the sizes may be well out....but it seems massive to me. There are lovely border shrubs all round with a big lawned area and a patio. It's all flat - which is a real bonus. When I moved in I focussed on updating the bungalow and this year it's time to do the garden. I live alone and have a mobility problem so I need to sort the garden so it's low and easy maintenance. The only trouble is I don't know where to start, and I haven't got loads of money.

Any tips, pointers to useful website, ideas for designing, how to keep costs down etc will be welcome.
