About me

Love gardening in the spring, summer and early autumn - not so much the winter! Live in a semi with a reasonably large garden - not massive, not tiny. Would hate a low maintenance garden, as I prefer working in the garden to sitting in it! Love to look out of my patio windows in the spring and summer and see a riot of colour. Love flowers, trees and shrubs, not so keen on vegetable plots. Like to watch the birds and squirrells and keen to encourge these into my garden. I have just realised that my small front garden IS low maintenance - just a ring made of bricks, enclosing a bed of soil which contains a lovely spiraea shrub, surrounded by begonias, and the ring is surrounded by pea shingle - which I hate as I'm always having to brush it back into place. I do have some plans to change the garden to create some more planting space, but will have to wait until funds allow. Meanwhile enjoying looking for inspiration on this great site!
